I am an experienced ICT and Languages teacher. I finished my Master's Degree in Educational Technology last November, 2008.
I am a life-long learner, who truly believes in the PYP model, and sees herself as a PYP teacher, with all of the profile's attributes, attitudes and skills from this programme. I am a natural inquirer, open-minded, risk taker and a good communicator and team member. The main attitudes that identify me as a person and as as professional are: cooperative, committed, curious, respectful and tolerant about diversity. Because of my role, I have also developed some leadership skills.
I believe in the changing role of ICT in education. As a teaching and learning tool, it has an unquestionable impact in all areas of knowledge. It is therefore, our challenge as educators to make sure its use is significant and relevant.
Finally, my main challenge at the moment is to lead the educational technology at the Anglo. This implies supporting my colleagues so they can use technology adequately, promoting new learning experiences among students during/after school time, and participating in the whole school's decision process regarding technological issues.
